John Cena turned heel for the first time since the beginning of his 23-year WWE career, aligning with The Rock. He double-crossed Cody Rhodes after winning the men’s Elimination Chamber match to earn an Undisputed WWE championship match against the “American Nightmare” — whom he mentored in real life — at WrestleMania.

John Cena will head to WrestleMania 41 to wrestle for his 17th world championship after winning the Elimination Chamber.

After Cody Rhodes turned down The Rock 's offer, Cena revealed his true colors and sided with The Final Boss by giving his WrestleMania opponent a low blow in the middle of the ring. He then proceeded to beat down the fallen champion and bloodied the American Nightmare in the process.

WWE Elimination Chamber has come and gone, and not quietly.
