Wide receiver Darius Slayton will likely officially leave the New York Giants as a free agent at some point after the new league year opens on March 12, but he nevertheless is well aware of rumors linking his current employer with New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

It didn't work out for the Giants to land veteran QB Matthew Stafford, so the quest to find a quarterback continues.

Last week at the combine, the idea of Aaron Rodgers joining the New York Giants began to pick up steam. The New York Jets had previously announced they are moving on from the 41-year-old quarterback after his failed two-year stint with the team.
