Officials in San Francisco and the county of Santa Clara brought a legal challenge to President Donald Trump’s executive order cutting off federal funding for sanctuary cities and directing use of local officials for immigration enforcement.

San Francisco's city attorney announced Friday the city is suing the Trump administration after the president signed an executive order to withhold federal aid to cities that don't comply with his immigration policies.
