The National Weather Service expects to see thunderstorms this weekend statewide. Here's what to know and how bad it will get.

"Temperatures will be highly changeable going through the middle of the week due to the storm, with much above-normal temperatures over the Midwest moving east into the Eastern U.S. by Tuesday and Wednesday as these areas will generally be on the warm side of the rapidly approaching upstream storm system," the weather service said.

There is likely going to be a widespread significant severe weather outbreak just southwest of Michigan this afternoon and evening. The Storm Prediction Center has a really colorful map for today’s severe weather with the top threat at a level four out of five levels.
