Sacramento Republic FC has released the first renderings of its proposed new stadium in the downtown Railyards. The capital region’s professional soccer team said in a news release Tuesday it’s making “significant progress” towards opening in 2027 and is expecting to break ground on the stadium later this year.

A new 12,000-seat stadium in the Railyards is set to open in 2027. Indomitable LLC, which owns the team, is also scheduled to acquire 31 acres in the Railyards for the stadium and ancillary development in the early part of this year; that deal does not appear to have closed escrow yet.
