NEW YORK (CNN) — KFC, the fast food chain formerly known as Kentucky Fried Chicken, is leaving the state where it all began. The chicken chain’s parent company, Yum Brands, announced Tuesday that KFC’s corporate headquarters is leaving Kentucky for Texas, joining sister brand Pizza Hut’s offices in the Dallas suburb of Plano.

LOUISVILLE, KY. — Yum! Brands confirmed on Feb. 18 that it plans to relocate the KFC US corporate offices to Plano, Texas, from its current location in Louisville, Ky. The company stated that around 100 KFC US corporate roles would move in the next six months.
