Several employees of the U.S. DOGE Service, the organization led by Elon Musk tasked with slashing the size of the federal government, were blocked from entering a small U.S. aid agency focused on African economic development Wednesday afternoon.

While DOGE has aggressively downsized government offices, some of its own members are earning top-tier federal salaries, Wired reported.

Elon Musk has tasked his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) with aggressively downsizing the federal workforce and cutting government spending. But some staffers are reportedly pocketing six-figure salaries from the very agencies whose budgets DOGE is slashing.
