Cam Talbot stopped nearly 30 shots in a shutout of the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday night at Little Caesars Arena.

The first half of the  regular season, such as it is, ends today for the Detroit Red Wings as they take on Tampa Bay at Little Caesars Arena. The Wings are looking to stay in playoff contention with a win.

The Red Wings are on a full head of steam in the race for the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The team reeled off three wins in their last homestand and followed that up by sweeping its four-game road trip, beating the Edmonton Oilers, Calgary Flames, Vancouver Canucks and Seattle Kraken, tying their season-long win streak of seven games.
